The Geological Atlas of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin was designed primarily as a reference volume documenting the subsurface geology of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin. This GIS dataset is one of a collection of shapefiles representing part of Chapter 31 of the Atlas, Petroleum Generation and Migration in the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin, Figure 11, Devonian Petroleum System. Shapefiles were produced from archived digital files created by the Alberta Geological Survey in the mid-1990s, and edited in 2005-06 to correct, attribute and consolidate the data into single files by feature type and by figure.
This dataset includes commonly used socio-economic indicators. The feature classes were created from geosptial boundary files and tabular data related to the 2016 Census of Canada, Statistics Canada. The topics included are: Age groups and sex, core housing needs, dwelling types, Education, labour force, immigration, Income, knowledge of languages, lone parent family, mobility, housing tenure and visible minorities.
This table is part of a series of tables that present a portrait of Canada based on the various census topics. The tables range in complexity and levels of geography. Content varies from a simple overview of the country to complex cross-tabulations; the tables may also cover several censuses.
This table contains 16 series, with data for years 1999 - 1999 (not all combinations necessarily have data for all years), and was last released on 2002-08-19. This table contains data described by the following dimensions (Not all combinations are available): Geography (1 items: Canada excluding Territories ...), Type of vehicle (2 items: Car and station wagon; Other vehicle up to 4.5 tonnes ...), Purpose of trip (8 items: Total; all trip purposes; To or from shopping or errands; To or from recreational or social activity; To or from work or school ...).
This airborne or shipborne geophysical survey recorded the following parameters: Total Field Magnetic, Radiometric. The flight line spacing is 500 m for a total of 20099 kilometres. The survey was flown between 1976-11-15 and 1977-01-13. The data were Digitally acquired.
30-year Average Dry Day Count is defined as the count of the average number of climate days which received less than 0.5 mm of precipitation during the calendar month. These values are calculated across Canada in 10x10 km cells, and are based on average precipitation amounts over a 30-year period (1961-1990, 1971-2000, 1981-2010).
These values are calculated across Canada in 10x10 km cells.
Elk Island National Park monitors primary productivity to determine the health of forest vegetation throughout the park. This measure relies on remotely-sensed multispectral satellite imagery, specifically, the Landsat Shortwave Infrared (SWIR2) and Near Infrared (NIR) bands. Analysis is performed roughly every five years, using images from mid-July. Forest and grassland primary productivity is in the same database.
This airborne or shipborne geophysical survey recorded the following parameters: Frequency Domain EM, Total Field Magnetic. The flight line spacing is 200 m for a total of 5425 kilometres. The survey was flown between 2008-04-11 and 2008-05-26. The data were Digitally acquired.
This airborne or shipborne geophysical survey recorded the following parameters: Total Field Magnetic, Radiometric. The flight line spacing is 5000 m. The survey was flown between 1977-07-11 and 1977-07-24. The data were Digitally acquired. Platform: Fixed-wing.
