This table provides statistics on the Number of Registrations and Persons Covered by Coverage Category and Level of Premium Payment for Non-Supplementary Plans. Non-Group supplementary health plans provide coverage for prescribed drugs and selected health services. Supplementary health plans are funded by Alberta Health and administered by Alberta Blue Cross. This table is an Excel version of a table in the "Alberta Health Care Insurance Statistical Supplement" report published annually by Alberta Health.

    Budget 2019 announced $50 million over 5 years to support the implementation of key elements of Canada’s first national dementia strategy. Most of Budget 2019 funding ($40M) will be administered through the Dementia Strategic Fund (DSF), which will support a variety of activities, including the development and implementation of: a national public education/awareness campaign, targeted awareness raising initiatives and initiatives that support access to and use of dementia guidance.
