The Canadian Environmental Sustainability Indicators CESI program provides data and information to track Canada's performance on key environmental sustainability issues. The Phosphorus and Nitrogen Levels in the St. Lawrence River indicator reports on the status of total phosphorus and total nitrogen concentrations along the St. Lawrence River for the 2010 to 2012 period. The indicator rates nitrogen and phosphorus status based on whether total phosphorus and total nitrogen concentrations exceed Quebec's total phosphorus water quality guideline for the protection of aquatic life, and its total nitrogen water quality guideline for the protection of aquatic life. When phosphorus and nitrogen concentrations exceed their respective water quality guidelines, this exceedance indicates that phosphorus and nitrogen pose a greater risk to the health of the St. Lawrence River aquatic ecosystem.
The Atlas of Canada Base Maps provide coverage of the entire Canadian landmass. Data elements are feature coded and structurally clean. Base map components are available in five scales and a number of data exchange formats. The 1:2 million and 1:7.5 million scales are the primary bases for all Atlas products.

An archive of 2D regional seismic and long period magnetotelluric data collected during 20 years of work under the LITHOPROBE project. Data are primarily onshore and cover widespread regions of Canada. Available data types include raw digital data, processed sections, and images of final sections, as well as auxiliary information required for analysis of the data.

PEMProjects contains Predictive Ecosystem Mapping (PEM) project boundaries (study areas) and attributes describing each project (project level metadata), plus links to the locations of other data associated with the project (e.g., reports, polygon datasets, plotfiles, legends). PEM uses modeling to divide the landscape into units according to a variety of ecological features including climate, physiography, surficial material, bedrock geology, soils and vegetation. This layer is derived from the STETEIPROJECTBOUNDARIESSP layer by filtering on the PROJECTTYPE attribute. Note that PEM data is not currently in the BCGW but is availalbe for download in the TEI Data Distribution Packages.
