The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) collects samples of honey from across Canada to test for adulteration with foreign sugars. Testing is done using two techniques. Samples in the datasets below were tested by the CFIA for the addition of C4 sugars using Stable Isotope Ratio Analysis (SIRA), and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR). Analyses were conducted by a contracted laboratory to detect these and other added foreign sugars, including C3 types.

A soil survey is an inventory of soils and their spatial distribution over a landscape. Soil survey reports contain two parts. The first part is a soil map or series of maps at a particular scale with coding for each soil. Soil survey reports also include a supporting document that contains background information such as how the soil survey was conducted, and an explanation of interpretive criteria and a summary of the area occupied by various soil types.

Fire plays an important role in restoring health to our forests and maintains biodiversity by creating a mosaic of forest stands of varying age structure. Forests in the Montane and Subalpine ecoregions have become overgrown and dense. Fire history studies have suggested that fire use by First Nations was common, although probably not ubiquitous. The removal of most human caused fires by the beginning of the 20th century along with fire suppression and landscape fragmentation since that time have greatly decreased area burned and modified fire regimes.

Contained within the Atlas of Canada Poster Map Series, is a poster entitled "Canada, A land of Superlatives." This colorful double sided poster map features Canadian firsts in geography, communications, culture and sport. One side of the poster map features a stunning map of Canada derived from satellite images. Smaller map inserts feature Canada in terms of geological history, from the formation of earth, then the continents, the ice age and human migration to the Americas 40,000 years ago.

This data provides the integrated cadastral framework for the specified Canada Land. The cadastral framework consists of active and superseded cadastral parcel, roads, easements, administrative areas, active lines, points and annotations. The cadastral lines form the boundaries of the parcels. COGO attributes are associated to the lines and depict the adjusted framework of the cadastral fabric.

An archive of 2D regional seismic and long period magnetotelluric data collected during 20 years of work under the LITHOPROBE project. Data are primarily onshore and cover widespread regions of Canada. Available data types include raw digital data, processed sections, and images of final sections, as well as auxiliary information required for analysis of the data.

This series of cartographic quality printed 1:50 000 scale monochrome maps cover the provincial extent of Alberta comprised of 764 maps that are individually named using the National Topographic System (NTS) map sheet identifier. These maps display the Alberta Township System (ATS), hydrographic features, municipalities, roads, cutlines, facilities, pipelines, powerlines, railways, select geo-administrative features (parks, reserves, etc.). All maps contained within a 1:250 000 block (generally up to 16 map sheets) will be included in the NTS Block download.This series is not updated on a regular basis and may contain a range of publication dates.
