Part I of the Estimates process is the Government Expenditure Plan. It provides a summary and highlights of year-over-year changes in departmental spending and transfer payments in order to provide perspective on the major issues influencing government planned spending. Part II is the Main Estimates, known traditionally as the “Blue Book.” It directly supports the appropriation acts for the Main Estimates. The publication provides a listing of the resources required by individual departments and agencies for the upcoming fiscal year in order to deliver the programs for which they are responsible.

All available bathymetry and related information for Amisk Lake were collected and hard copy maps digitized where necessary. The data were validated against more recent data (Shuttle Radar Topography Mission 'SRTM' imagery and Indian Remote Sensing 'IRS' imagery) and corrected where necessary. The published data set contains the lake bathymetry formatted as an Arc ascii grid. Bathymetric contours and the boundary polygon are available as shapefiles.

In the eastern Ogilvie Mountains, geological mapping (1:50,000) was undertaken on map sheets 116A/10 and 11, which straddle the boundary between the Foreland and Omineca belts of the Cordilleran Orogen. The area is underlain by a diverse assemblage of epicontinental and miogeoclinal sediementary, and subordinate volcanic and intrusive rocks, ranging in age from Early Proterozoic to Triassic. These rocks represent most of the geological history of the northern Cordilleran miogeocline and its supracrustal basement.

Canada is a maritime nation with access to three oceans (Atlantic, Pacific, and Arctic), and shared access to the longest inland waterway system in the world, the Great Lakes St. Lawrence Seaway system of waterways. The map shows approximately 700 small craft harbours, the Seaway (including major locks) and vessel traffic service zones. The Canada Marine Act governs Canada’s port and harbour systems. The 700 harbours form the National Harbour System, managed by Fisheries and Oceans Canada to ensure that harbours are safe and accessible for commercial fisheries and recreational boaters.
