The Quebec region of the Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) is responsible for the assessment of several fish and invertebrate stocks exploited in the Estuary and the northern Gulf of St. Lawrence. The commercial catches sampling program is one of the sources of information used to complete these assessments. The data collected by this program, at wharf or at sea, offers among other things the advantage of a relatively large spatio-temporal coverage and provides some of the necessary knowledge to assess the demography and the structure of the exploited populations. This program is implemented by specialized DFO staff whose main mandate is to collect biological data on groundfish, pelagic fish and marine invertebrate species that are commercially exploited in the various marine communities.
Fish Habitat Assessment Output: 3 of 16
High Water Level (75.4m ASL) - Nursery Habitat - High Vegetation Association Species (All Temperature Windows)
Habitat suitability was assessed for the Bay of Quinte Area of Concern, at a 3 m grid resolution, using the Habitat Ecosystem Assessment Tool (HEAT), temperature algorithms, vegetation models, and water level input. Habitat classifications were based on three variables: depth (elevation), vegetation, and substrate; and modified by temperature suitabilities. The final suitability maps were based on documented habitat and temperature associations for the fish in the area. Different life stages (spawning requirements, nursery habitat, adult habitat) were modeled for the years of 1972-2011.
This table contains 125 series, with data for years 1981 - 2009 (not all combinations necessarily have data for all years), and was last released on 2012-11-19. This table contains data described by the following dimensions (Not all combinations are available): Geography (16 items: Canada; Newfoundland and Labrador; Nova Scotia; Prince Edward Island ...), Pension plan (2 items: Canada Pension Plan (CPP); Quebec Pension Plan (QPP) ...), Revenues and expenditures (8 items: Saving; Total revenue; Investment income; Contributions to social insurance plans ...).
This GIS dataset depicts the surficial geology of the George Lake area (NTS 84D/SE) (point features). The data are created in geodatabase format and output for public distribution in shapefile format.
This data provides the integrated cadastral framework for the specified Canada Land. The cadastral framework consists of active and superseded cadastral parcel, roads, easements, administrative areas, active lines, points and annotations. The cadastral lines form the boundaries of the parcels. COGO attributes are associated to the lines and depict the adjusted framework of the cadastral fabric.
