Numerical Radar Data

Environment and Climate Change Canada
Currently, PRECIP-ET rain/snow and CAPPI radar GIF images are published on Environment Canada's radar webpage. A processed numerical data format would probably be easier to visualize in conjunction with readily accessible zoomable maps and 3rd party developers. This dataset would contain the numerical reflectivity in a 3D matrix (similar to PRECIP-ET or low altitude composite), the date, the coordinates of one corner of the given area, and the resolution preferably in a JSON data format. Ideally, multiple datasets of high resolution areas centered around clusters of multiple radar sites should be given instead of just a dataset of the whole entire country.

The Canadian Meteorological Center (CMCO) is working on making several weather radar numerical datasets openly available before the end of 2022.

In the meantime, the Geomet service, which allows to create with readily accessible zoomable maps, would be best suited to fulfill this request with what is currently available.
