Overturned denials of permanent residency
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada
The current datasets show the number of applications made, approved, denied, withdrawn, etc. It would be helpful to know how many applications that are initially denied by a visa office are overturned by the Immigration and Refugee Board either via tribunal hearing or alternative dispute resolution. For example, a visa office may indicate that they have approved 150 applications and denied only 10, but how many of those 150 approvals were initially denied, appealed to the IRB, then overturned in the applicant's favour.
