Federal Government Holiday Calendar

It would be very handy to have a definitive source of official govt of Canada observed holiday and have that data reachable at a stable WWW address. This would allow govt departments and agencies to use this data in applications. It would also be helpful for private sector applications. The data set should have holidays that were observed in the past, say, 20 years and for the future 5. There could be a columns in the data named 'AddedDate' and 'RemovedDate' that would give an indication of when the holiday was added or removed (in the event that holidays are changed after they were originally publish in the web service). Imagine the reduction of duplicate work across the whole federal govt and agencies that this would allow. And this would be pretty simple to implement too!
