The project aims to improve the sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) of vulnerable and underserved women and adolescent girls in two urban slums in Dhaka, Bangladesh. In collaboration with local partners, project activities include: (1) providing training to health facility staff of 154 garment factories and clinics to provide quality contraceptive care responsive to needs of adolescents, and survivors of sexual and gender based violence; (2) facilitating social and behavior change to support women’s and adolescent girls’ needs with respect to SRHR; and (3) providing infrastructure, commodities, and technology required to provide quality woman-centered contraceptive service in the selected facilities. The project also strives to establish effective communication mechanisms to ensure adolescent girls and women have access to accurate information on the availability of contraceptive services and resources for sexual and gender based violence.

This project seeks to improve access and the quality of reproductive health services for adolescent girls and women of reproductive age in the Kalikot district of Nepal and the Son La province of Vietnam. The project aims to improve health and gender equality (GE) among adolescent girls and women and reduce incidences of child marriages, a form of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV).

This project works in collaboration with local governments in Nepal and Vietnam to make necessary health services and interventions accessible to children less than two years of age and their mothers. Research has identified that the first 1,000 days of a child’s life are critical for intellectual and physical development and lifelong health.

The RCMP One Spirit Unity Run was created as a Reconciliation event for the 150th anniversary of the RCMP. The event was supposed to take place October 22nd, 2023.

Preventing child marriage and addressing early pregnancy in Ethnic Minority communities of Son La Province, Vietnam

Project activities include: (1) developing a toolkit to guide provision of gender-responsiveness, cultural sensitivity and adolescent friendly health and nutrition services; (2) organizing exchange visits for health workers to experience and learn from skilled and qualified SRH providers; (3) training community groups on SGBV, its impact on physical and psychological health, and prevention; and (4) engaging with government bodies to adapt existing policies or promote policy changes (as needed) and allocate sufficient resources for resilient health systems that can met the SRHR needs of rights-holders. In Bangladesh the project is implemented in the urban slums and underserved areas of Chattogram City Corporation and is expected to reach a total of 662,040 beneficiaries.

Sunnybrook’s Harquail Centre for Neuromodulation’s clinical work enables us to build awareness of neuromodulation therapies and advocate for their use. This three-year project aims to expand neuromodulation interventions to a broader network of patients with PTSD, anxiety, addiction and depression.

During two weeks of intensive experiential learning, expedition educators come together to connect students to the natural world and help these youth define their post-secondary and career goals. Each expedition follows an in-depth, informative and educational program that contains many learning platforms for youth to increase their knowledge of Canada, themselves and the world.

The conservation project will focus on masonry repairs to the northern and eastern sections of the stone wall that surround the cemetery.
