This project aims to improve comprehensive sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) for marginalized women, children and adolescents in Bangladesh, Nepal and Vietnam.

Project activities include: (1) strengthening surveillance and detection through enhanced capacity reinforcement; (2) enhancing community protection, with a focus on addressing stigma and discrimination associated with mpox, particularly related to sexual orientation, gender identity and HIV status; and (3) providing safe and scalable care, including the protection of healthcare workers and patients.

The intervention program will comprise three key elements: training for service providers and frontline staff on how to provide culturally competent care; peer support networks for 2SLGBTQI+ immigrant and refugee communities to better advocate for themselves when facing barriers; and a comprehensive resource roadmap for navigating HIV/HCV and sexual health services.

To provide funding to willing jurisdictions to support improving access for patients with rare diseases to drugs for rare diseases, as well as improving and broadening rare disease treatments and services, to achieve better health outcomes.

Project activities include: (1) Delivery of rapid response grants for HRDs and their organizations to meet their security and protection needs in times of crisis and opportunity; (2) Delivery of collective care grants to ensure the well-being of activists; and (3) Designing spaces, in concert with women, trans, and non-binary HRDs, WROs, and LBTQI+ groups that provide HRDs access to share experiences, exchange learnings on collective care, contribute to knowledge leadership and learning, networking, and convening activities to support sustainability in the face of constant, interwoven crises.

The organization will fill a gap in dedicated services for sexual violence in the area, to improve supports for survivors to access appropriate care and support. The project will provide immediate and long-term assistance to victims and survivors, including rapid response, clinical counselling, and public awareness campaigns.

Thunder Bay Counselling will hire a psychotherapist to specialize in trauma-informed care for gender-based violence and sexual assault.
