With funding support from the National Research Council of Canada’s Youth Employment and Skills Strategy Program, this position will help increase awareness of Paraglide’s patented repositioning system for wheelchair users among key target groups; build the brand’s online presence using a variety of online platforms; and create materials to support new sales channels and strategies – online and offline – in various markets. This role will support the launch and subsequent sales strategies of the Paraglide repositioning system for beds which is expected to have an even greater potential for sales across Canada and exports into the U.S.

The project aims to enhance CareerBeacon's platform for job seekers and employers by optimizing the application workflow, improving job recommendations, and increasing website traffic.

Traferox will design, manufacture, and validate systems that can perform normothermic ex vivo perfusion of the liver and the heart. In normothermic ex vivo organ perfusion, solid organs are perfused with a solution containing red blood cells and maintained at body temperature. Normothermic ex vivo organ perfusion enables detailed functional assessment of the organ and assessment of their suitability for transplant. This project will create systems suitable for preclinical research.

This project will cover the design and implementation of control systems to monitor the quality of reagents and various processes on our in vitro diagnostic platform. Having these systems in place will substantially mitigate the potential risk of patient harm by suppressing the results from any failed runs.

Jacob is a recent graduate of the Niagara College wine program and has had introductory experience into the industry. This position will enable Jacob the opportunity to learn all aspects of the wine business from retail on weekends, cellar duties, vineyard management, vineyard scouting, harvest procedures, monitoring of fermentations, winemaking & blending.

This will be an all encompassing position that will provide Jacob the opportunity to learn about each area of the business and decide which area of the business he is most adept to so that he may further develop his skills and ensure that he is a well rounded employee in the wine industry.
