Obtain performance and safety certification

The purpose of this Canadian International Innovation Program (CIIP) contribution agreement is to support organizations and to identify specific projects or partnerships between the Recipient and international partners in CIIP target countries that could lead to industrial research and development cooperation with potential for commercialization.

The goal of the project is to deploy short-and long-term specialist advisory resources, provide targeted technical assistance, and mainstream gender equality in four areas/sectors in Tanzania. DFATD collaborates with the Government of Tanzania, civil society and other donors to identify, manage and effectively implement technical assistance to improve aid effectiveness across all DFATD programming areas. Types of technical needs that can be supported include: gender-sensitive strategic planning; evidence-based policy research and development; policy dialogue; monitoring and evaluation; public expenditure tracking; public consultations; targeted/special audits; strengthened procurement and audit systems; gender budgeting; strengthened intergovernmental linkages; budget consultations; donor coordination; research and analysis; communications; and the provision of resources for studies, workshops and training for the Government of Tanzania or civil society partners engaged in DFATD programming areas.

Canada's Fisheries Fund will transform and drive innovation in the fish and seafood sector in Canada with a focus on developing the sector to better meet growing market demands for sustainably sourced, high-quality fish and seafood products.

The Recipient is proposing to take advantage of previous government investments in GMP manufacturing facilities in Alberta and Ontario to create a cohesive, collaborative team approach for the production of life-saving virus-based therapeutics. The Recipient's internationally recognized track record of producing GMP grade virus products is unrivalled in Canada. The Recipient has in place, a team of highly skilled and qualified personnel who have made virus-based products for the last decade that have and continue to be used in human clinical trials around the world. The Recipient's plan is to sue this team and upgraded facilities to rapidly create a pipeline that generates novel vectors for the treatment of rare diseases such as Lipoprotein Lipase Deficiency a disease which particularly impacts French Canadian Families. Working closely with Scientist from the National Research Council, the Recipient will optimize manufacturing processes to efficiently and economically create novel medicines that are affordable to the Canadian Healthcare System and accessible to all Canadians in need.
