Grants and Contributions
About this information
In June 2016, as part of the Open Government Action Plan, the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat (TBS) committed to increasing the transparency and usefulness of grants and contribution data and subsequently launched the Guidelines on the Reporting of Grants and Contributions Awards, effective April 1, 2018.
The rules and principles governing government grants and contributions are outlined in the Treasury Board Policy on Transfer Payments. Transfer payments are transfers of money, goods, services or assets made from an appropriation to individuals, organizations or other levels of government, without the federal government directly receiving goods or services in return, but which may require the recipient to provide a report or other information subsequent to receiving payment. These expenditures are reported in the Public Accounts of Canada. The major types of transfer payments are grants, contributions and \'other transfer payments\'.
Included in this category, but not to be reported under proactive disclosure of awards, are (1) transfers to other levels of government such as Equalization payments as well as Canada Health and Social Transfer payments. (2) Grants and contributions reallocated or otherwise redistributed by the recipient to third parties; and (3) information that would normally be withheld under the Access to Information Act and the Privacy Act.

Water Movement: Water Ceremony and Story Sharing Circle
A1-15300-07-08
This celebration allows the public to connect with and learn from Indigenous Water Operators and Water Keepers across Canada. It honors their innovation in resolving drinking water advisories and inspires future water leaders, especially Indigenous youth. The event promotes equity and reconciliation by addressing the Indigenous Water Crisis and fostering nationwide collaboration for clean water access.

Barreleye - Costs Management & Solver Efficiencies
992996
Project #1 for NRC IRAP focused on scoping and building an algorithm for water movement through a constrained network. Project #2 for NRC IRAP is a continuation of the first project and will have two objectives: one involving Costs Management and the other involving Solver Efficiencies.
Costs Management
Using our newly built water movement algorithm, costs will be layered on top of this with an intent to optimize the movement of water based on costs.

Multi-variate assimilation of satellite soil moisture and terrestrial water storage production hydrologic models in support of water security in Canada
21SUESMVAS
The scientific objective is to exploit the potential of Earth observation, especially the scientific data collected through Canadian investments in space-based platforms in developing and advancing physically-based groundwater surface water computational models, thus providing evidence-based support for a better understanding of the physical processes that govern water movement in both the surface and subsurface domains of the Earth system.
