Description:
The objective of this project is to ensure public trust in humane feedlot production in Canada by:
1) maintaining and continually improving the Professional Animal Auditor Certification Organization's (PAACO) certified Canadian Feedlot Animal Care Assessment (Assurance) Standard and its associated PAACO Certified Auditor Training Program,
2) continually encouraging implementation and certification of this animal health and welfare standard in feedlots across Canada,
3) ensuring consistency with similar feedlot welfare standards across North America for trade.
