Description:
The objective of the project is to provide the intern with experience in primary commercial beekeeping, through learning how to handle, feed, and care for honey colonies in a manner appropriate for the season. The intern will learn about replacement hives, recognize & report hive health issues, move hives, collect and package honey, beeswax, sparing hives, pulling honey, honey extraction and bee yard maintenance.
