Description:
The objective of this project is to produce organic vegetable, asparagus and cut flower and sell it directly to customers through baskets, farmer's markets, and on-farm kiosk. The farm cultivates mixed vegetables and flowers in a biointensive model, which means reduced mechanization and soil tillage, leading to stronger soil health and ecology. The intern will contribute to bed preparation using hand tools (broadfork and rake), transplant seedlings, weeding using hand tools, vegetable harvest for markets and on-farm kiosk and to greenhouse work.
