Description:
The objective of the project is to help the small scale, organic family farm to produce Heirloom and European vegetables from its market gardens. The intern will seed, harvest, process and pack vegetables for home delivery to customers. They will complete field work such as weeding, hoeing, trellising crops, planting vegetable starts, and applying organic fertilizers to field and greenhouse crops. The intern will be shown how to crop plan and crop rotate, and will be expected to maintain rotations and quality standards.
