Description:
The objective of the project is to produce more than 40 different organic vegetables and some small fruits in an 8-acre area. Products are marketed directly to consumers via organic food boxes and public markets. The intern will participate in greenhouse and field production and marketing activities. The main tasks are planting, maintenance, harvesting, and conditioning of crops until the products are sold. By the end of the internship, the intern will have learned all the major stages of vegetable production using organic farming techniques, aimed at maintaining soil life and promoting biodiversity.
