Description:
The objective of the project is a grasslands management company specializing in Bison management to improve grassland ecosystems. We direct market grass-fed bison meat to consumers throughout Alberta. We also supply live bison to other producers. The intern would take on main duties in managing animals including, but not limited to, fencing, water infrastructure, feeding hay and supplements when necessary, transporting animals to processing facility, delivering meat to customers. The intern will develop a full understanding of the livestock enterprise from production to marketing as well as practical ranch skills using specialized equipment.
