The objective of the project is to provide the intern with experience in a breeding stock for commercial pig producers who then raise the animals to sell to packing plants for human consumption such as bacon, pork chops, ribs, etc. The intern will learn about the swine industry, learning how a commercial/nucleus farm works, due to the high biosecurity.
