Description:
The objective of the project is to assist Cider Keg Farm Market sell local food and drink products grown and produced in Norfolk County, known as Ontario's Garden, and the surrounding agricultural region. The Intern will assist in the development of a series of small dinners using local food and drink products sold in the farm market. The dinners will follow all precautions and regulations related to COVID-19. A local farmer will speak to the guests about aspirations and challenges of agriculture and growing food. A walk-through of the orchard or field and a professionally prepared meal by a local chef will be offered. Over 16 weeks, the intern will organize the events and coordinate with farmers, chefs, guests and others.
