Description:
The objective of the project is for the intern to gain experience on a small scale craft cidery, through fruit processing, cider manufacturing and bottling is conducted on-site. The intern will be fencing, hanging the woven steel wire deer fencing around the 6 acre orchard. (Posts have already been dug in place), looking after the trees in the on site nursery waiting to be planted, preparing the soil for the next areas to be planted, sowing a summer cover crop, digging in irrigation lines, laying out irrigation lines for trees, preparing tree sites with amendments, compost, planting trees in the late fall months and mulching with bark mulch.
