Description:
The objective of the project is for the intern to gain experience in working with a small business acting as an agent for Pioneer Hybrid and Global AgRisk Solutions, selling canola and corn seed and provide agronomic advice to growers to help them minimize inputs and maximize profitability. Supporting that with gross margin insurance from Global Ag Risk Solutions. The intern will also provide consultation services to growers to help them manage their fertility plans and pesticide use. The intern will learn about Field scouting, coordination of demonstration plots, leading tours of said plots, follow up of in-season requirements for Global Ag Risk Insurance such as data collection of seeding and harvesting.
