Description:
​The objective of the project is provide the employee with experience on a honey farm, producing honey, the intern will assess and unwrap hives, identify diseases, add supers, maintain electric fences, introduce and check queen cells, mark, cage and introduce queens, start new hives, feed, treat and wrap hives. In the honey house she would be responsible for teaching and overseeing other staff and equipment. Working in consultation with her mentor and other staff to develop and adjust new sanitation procedures so that all the staff remain healthy and as socially distant as possible.
