The objective of this project is to assess the potential for ultra-high frequency technology to be used to improve traceability in Canada. The technology assessment would look at advantages and disadvantages of using the UHF platform for livestock identifiers and transceivers as a way to improve the speed, accuracy, and facility for collecting animal identification at all levels of the traceability system in Canada.
