Description:
The objective of this project is the Fruit Market having two lines of business. 1-Farm. The farm grows 7 types of fruit (with multiple varieties of each type) 40 plus types of vegetables , herbs and greens with minimal sprays and sells through farm gate sales directly at our market. 2-Market. The farm also purchases produce from other farms to sell through the market.
The intern will assist in greenhouse growing, transplanting and thinning crops, irrigation repair, maintenance and scheduling. Tractor and small equipment operation and repair, harvesting, cleaning and packaging, marketing, soil analysis, pruning, thinning, identifying pest and controlling them all for 7 types of fruit and 40 types of vegetables, herbs and greens.
