Description:
The objective of this project is for the trainee to learn and perform beekeeping tasks in a commercial and organic beekeeping structure. The company has a livestock of 1200 hives and is specialized in the breeding of queen bees, the production of nuclei, the production of organic honeys and the manufacture of value-added honey-based products: gourmet products and cosmetics. It also adds to its activities agro tourism on the farm. The trainee's activities include livestock management, implementation of a genetic selection system, site selection, treatment of nuisance hives, management of hive material, honey harvesting, extraction and potting, specifications, identification of clinical signs and wintering methodologies.
