Description:

The objective of this project is to conduct research and knowledge technology transfer to drive the growth of Canada’s beef industry and overall economy, address greenhouse gas reduction and carbon sequestration opportunities and enhance sector resilience and public trust related to animal health and antibiotic resistance.

Expected Results:

The Agri-Science program will be delivered in two streams: the Clusters stream, which will support industry-led, commodity-based science and research projects that address priority themes and horizontal issues, and coordinate their research activities across the country; and the Projects stream, which provides a mechanism to support short-term projects to help industry overcome the challenges and financial hurdles faced by small, emerging sectors.
