Description:
This project aims to support the Alberta pork industry in the event that African Swine Fever (ASF) arrives in Canada. Specifically, Alberta Pork is seeking to implement new approaches to: producer education on ASF; biosecurity; eradication of wild boar at large, biocontainment; and, equipment and training for on-farm response for field staff in industry, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and the Alberta Government that will be faced with containing and stamping out the disease.
