This project aims to improve the preparedness of partners in the Quebec pork sector for the orderly management of surplus pigs following the closure of borders to exports of pork products due to an outbreak of African swine fever in Quebec or Canada. This preparation includes the development of tools on the use of striker guns for pig depopulation, and an information event for breeders and stakeholders in the Quebec pork industry.
