Description:
This project aims to advance the scope and quality of swine health surveillance in Canada through cost effective, specific, sensitive and rapid detection of swine enteric and respiratory viruses by utilization of multiplex assay technology, a targeted national proficiency testing program and establishing a secure surveillance databases for targeted viruses at the Atlantic Veterinary College, in collaboration with veterinary practitioners, veterinary laboratories, industry and Canadian Pork Council.
