This project aims to increase the capacity of community organizations in Saskatchewan to produce, process, store, and distribute food for school food programs, and helps ensure that children have the nutritious meals they need to learn, grow, and reach their full potential.

The overall goal of the project is to strategically expand existing community-based food infrastructure to support marginalized children and youth in obtaining healthy and culturally-appropriate meals in urban, remote, Indigenous, and rural schools in Saskatchewan. This will be achieved through investing in ready to go, high impact projects in SK's largest cities, Saskatoon and Regina, and then extend an open call for proposals to rural, remote, urban, and Indigenous communities in SK.
