This project aims to increase the capacity of community organizations in Ontario to produce, process, store, and distribute food for school food programs, and helps ensure that children have the nutritious meals they need to learn, grow, and reach their full potential.

Expected Results:

The project will strengthen community food systems in Ontario & Nunavut through investments in infrastructure that expand the reach and impact of school food programming and maximize students access to vibrant, equitable, and culturally appropriate food at school. United Way will leverage existing partnerships across the province to engage hard-to-reach, rural, remote and non-traditional community partners who will help shape the local implementation of the new National School Food Policy.
