Description:

This project aims to pioneer a method of producing high value proteins (recombinant human lactoferrin) in food grade soybeans for the nutraceutical and pharmaceutical markets which is not commonly done in Canada. The project provides value-added opportunities for Ontario soybeans that would help increase the crop value and create a new revenue stream for soybean growers.
