Grants and Contributions:
To strengthen food systems and improve food security by providing funding to organizations to purchase and install infrastructure to increase food access and availability among groups at risk of food insecurity
The LFIF Program aims to support locally-driven projects that include a production element and to improve community food security through the purchase and installation of infrastructure/equipment that will increase the availability and accessibility of local, nutritious, and culturally-appropriate food for equity-deserving groups, particularly Indigenous and Black communities. The Large Scale Projects component will provide non-repayable contribution funding between $150,000 and $500,000 to support projects with multiple infrastructure/equipment needs and partnerships to address community food security in a more comprehensive manner.
