This project aims to advance sustainability and public trust in the dairy industry, supporting Dairy Farmers of Canada’s ambitious goal of achieving net zero by 2050 collectively across Canadian dairy farms. DFC will leverage its robust quality assurance program, proAction®, to strive for continuous improvement in environmental and climate change mitigation practices, animal care, animal health, antimicrobial stewardship, and farm sustainability.

Program Purpose:
The AgriAssurance program support industry to develop, verify and integrate assurance systems to address market and regulatory requirements (e.g. food safety, plant and animal health surveillance, animal welfare, environmental sustainability, traceability, market attributes and quality standards) and enable industry to make credible, meaningful and verifiable claims about the health, safety, and quality of Canadian agriculture products. The National Industry Association Component, will support not-for-profit industry organizations to develop or improve national assurance initiatives that aid their sector in managing risks and/or ensuring product safety and quality.
