Description:
This project aims to modernize the digital infrastructure that operates and delivers assurance systems to Canada's pork sector by leveraging Cloud technology and architecture. The Cloud-based platform will provide a secure, resilient, and cost-effective centralized hub - owned and managed by CPC - to optimize the Canadian pork value chain's participation in assurance systems (food safety, traceability, animal health & care) and to enable the delivery of sector support services (e.g., training).

The AgriAssurance program support industry to develop, verify and integrate assurance systems to address market and regulatory requirements (e.g. food safety, plant and animal health surveillance, animal welfare, environmental sustainability, traceability, market attributes and quality standards) and enable industry to make credible, meaningful and verifiable claims about the health, safety, and quality of Canadian agriculture products. The National Industry Association Component, will support not-for-profit industry organizations to develop or improve national assurance initiatives that aid their sector in managing risks and/or ensuring product safety and quality.
