Description:
This project aims to provide a unique opportunity for students, through the Siksikaitsitapi Agriculture Conference, to immerse themselves in the rich cultural heritage and cutting-edge developments in Indigenous-led agriculture. The primary focus is to promote Agribusiness or land economy on the reserve. In addition, it will create partnerships with industry experts to connect with Red Crow Community College's agriculture program and increase student enrolment in agriculture programs by inviting agriculture vendors for networking.

Expected Results:

The AgriDiversity Program strengthens the agriculture and agri-food sector by building its capacity through projects that:
• help Indigenous Peoples and members of other underrepresented and marginalized groups (URMG) develop leadership skills;
• build entrepreneurial capacity and business skills of URMG;
• facilitate the sharing of industry experience, best practices, and knowledge to help URMG manage transformation and adapt to changes in their business operations; and/or
• strengthen the sector by incorporating views from a greater diversity of sector players.
