This project aims to equip Black, African, and Caribbean individuals with the knowledge and tools to thrive in agriculture. Through an online learning platform, mobile app, and hands-on practicums, the program teaches sustainable crop and livestock production, business skills, and food sovereignty practices, blending traditional African and Caribbean farming with Canadian methods to foster leadership, equity, and economic opportunity.

Expected Results:

The AgriDiversity Program strengthens the agriculture and agri-food sector by building its capacity through projects that:
• help Indigenous Peoples and members of other underrepresented and marginalized groups (URMG) develop leadership skills;
• build entrepreneurial capacity and business skills of URMG;
• facilitate the sharing of industry experience, best practices, and knowledge to help URMG manage transformation and adapt to changes in their business operations; and/or
• strengthen the sector by incorporating views from a greater diversity of sector players.
