The expected results are that the project will ae:complish a guide for growing traditional foods in a greenhouse and garden, including challenges and solutions identified throughout the pilot project. The greenhouse and garden will allow for training workshops for Indigenous women and gender diverse people on traditional foods and medicines, on setting up a similar initiative in their community, as well as have produced year round fresh foods for use in NWAC's commercial catering kitchen, culinary training program, and the NWAC Cafe. The combination of the greenhouse and the training workshop can address health and food security from a culturally relevant gender-based perspective, provide economic opportunity for communities, and opportunities for Indigenous women to engage in traditional foods and agriculture.
Amendment#2 reflects an extension to the completion and agreement end date.
