Description:
The objective of this project is for an intern to assist in the 1750-head farrowing (piglets) operation. The intern will maintain farrowing crates and breeding stalls, assist in monitoring the feed system and carry out daily feeding procedures, as well as in weaning piglets and performing general maintenance (sweeping, minor repairs, etc.) Finally, the intern will assist in production record-keeping as defined by management and assist in the weekly vaccination of the herd.
