Description:

This project aims to adopt and customize automation and climate control technologies for use in a new build Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) greenhouse capable of producing up to 2 million kilograms of baby leafy greens annually.

The goal of this project is to demonstrate first-in-Canada, fully novel greenhouse technology that enables year-round, locally produced, high-quality leafy greens. By implementing this innovative, fully automated system, we aim to replace imported greens, reduce carbon emissions, and eliminate long-haul transportation. This scalable model will showcase the profitability and sustainability of using controlled environment agriculture to produce leafy greens year-round in Canada.
