This project aims to establish an Indigenous-led agri-food alliance to advance food sovereignty through land-based agriculture and traditional permaculture practices. By reclaiming lands, sharing governance, and delivering training rooted in Indigenous knowledge, the Alliance will strengthen local food systems and build long-term economic and ecological resilience.

Expected Results:

The AgriDiversity Program strengthens the agriculture and agri-food sector by building its capacity through projects that: help Indigenous Peoples and members of other underrepresented and marginalized groups (women, youth, persons with disabilities, visible minorities, 2SLGBTQI+ communities and official language minority communities) develop leadership skills; build entrepreneurial capacity and business skills of underrepresented and marginalized groups (URMG); facilitate the sharing of industry experience, best practices, and knowledge to help URMG manage transformation and adapt to changes in their business operations; and/or strengthen the sector by incorporating views from a greater diversity of sector players.
