The expected results of the project include:

  • 8 co-operatives incorporated across NL, each operating in one of the five key sectors (childcare, housing, health and wellness, employment, and the environment);
  • 10 co-operatives receive post incorporation start-up training;
  • 6 professionals trained in co-operative development, fostering long-term support for the sector;
  • increased provincial capacity for co-op formation and support;
  • stronger provincial co-operative ecosystem;
  • enhanced awareness and education on co-operatives;
  • establishment of a strong mentorship and peer support network.
