Grants and Contributions:
The project will support the revitalization of Hartland's waterfront as per the recommendations of its tourism strategy and waterfront development feasibility study and plan. The project will ensure that Hartland is poised to take advantage of new economic opportunities by leveraging its unique assets and its commercial and community partnerships.
The project will:
-incorporate the safety, accessibility and structural recommendations of the project's collaborating SMEs, including the travel trade industry, Wolastoq Cycling & Repair, professional recreational fishing guides and outfitters and bass fishing tournament organizers;
-enable the client to establish at least one (1) new partnership with bass fishing tournament organizers by 2028;
-sustain Hartland's current tour operator bookings of 290 buses a year (16,000 visitors) with an anticipated 3% to 5 % year-over-year increase in new bookings;
-increase Hartland's overall visitor numbers (60,000) by 3%-5% by 2028;
-increase the duration of visitor stays by increasing operator yield; SME sales increases will be monitored by the client with the Hartland Chamber of Commerce;
-enable the client to leverage its strengths to take advantage of new economic opportunities in the Tourism industry.
The assistance type is Non-Repayable Contribution. The total government funding is $291,228.00.
