The expected outcomes of the DO conference include:
Improved digital literacy in the energy sector, and other key industrial/industry sectors.
Greater adoption of digitalization technologies by industry sectors improving their competitiveness and productivity.
Raise the awareness of the province’s innovation ecosystem regionally, nationally and internationally to foster new opportunities and attract investment.
Raise the profile and attractiveness of career opportunities and choices in energy, mining and other sectors as the sectors navigate the digital transformation.
Measureable outputs to be reported. Ultimate outcomes are not short term, but following are indicators reflecting program reach and potential value:
o future workforce (# of students reached);
o awareness of NL strengths (# of international organizations/delegates attending);
o investment promotion (potential investors reached);
o digital technology development/adoption (survey feedback indicating increased interest);
o commercial opportunities identified (SME participant survey feedback); and
o ecosystem development (partnerships identified).
The assistance type is Non-Repayable Contribution. The total government funding is $59,750.00.
