Grants and Contributions:
The Island Walk is expected to achieve the following project results:
-Enhance ISLA, the Island Walk’s AI-powered trail companion, with key upgrades such as multilingual support, a network of dynamic QR-enabled trail signs, and a digital passport to gamify and celebrate milestones along the route.
-Strengthen data collection through the installation of new trail counters, QR-linked surveys, and integration with Propulso, ensuring robust measurement of trail use and visitor demographics.
-Relaunch the Island Walk Passport program in both physical and digital formats to provide consistent milestone recognition and foster greater engagement with local operators.
-Install new branded signage at key locations, incorporating QR codes that link to maps, services, and interpretive content for an improved visitor experience.
-Develop and promote new itineraries to drive shoulder-season growth and equip operators with clear product frameworks for marketing.
-Deliver a refreshed strategic plan to define the Island Walk’s identity, governance structure, and growth objectives.
The assistance type is Non-Repayable Contribution. The total government funding is $100,000.00.
