Grants and Contributions:
The expanded Launchbox program is targeting (overall):
- supporting the creation of up to 25 new student businesses (# of new businesses created including type; # of businesses in pipeline)
- strengthening SME's through innovation and workforce development to up to 20 SME's (per year) (# of SME's engaged and supported)
- facilitation of innovation and industry collaboration through up to 6 industry Innovation Challenges (per year) (# of Industry Challenges, events/workshops)
- retention of talent and addressing rural workforce challenges (include a narrative/anecdotal metric on this in reporting relating to % of students remaining in the region)
- engagement of more than 700 students (# of students engaged)
-> Build a Business - support up to 20 students (per year)
-> Project Connect (including AI and Digital Marketing Stream) - engage at least 20 SME's in consulting projects with students with at least 20 student work placements
-> Industry Innovation Challenges - up to 6 per year (involving up to 100 students and 6 local businesses/organizations)
-> Events/Workshops - Host up to 15 workshops and events (per year); expand the Launchbox mentor network to up to 30 community and business leaders; engage at least 200 students in these activities
The assistance type is Non-Repayable Contribution. The total government funding is $112,500.00.
