Grants and Contributions:
NB Energy Cluster (NBEC) is fully operational with clear governance, visibility, and sector alignment. This will be achieved by the following activities:
- Hire key personnel to support operations and engagement. (This could include the hiring of an Executive Director, Marketing and Communications Coordinator, IT support, legal and finance).
- Develop an engagement and a communications plan. (Completed by May 31, 2026).
- Build a member capability matrix, which includes a database completed with members listed. (Completed by end of year 1).
- Launch collaborative programming with NBEC members. (At least three (3) member-focused events per year).
- Develop a business development strategy and sustainability roadmap. (Resulting in at least three (3) matches for potential market opportunities, at least one (1) consortium formed and at least one (1) competitive bid for a large energy project).
- Increase in the number of memberships (Baseline is 115).
- Develop partnerships with Indigenous organizations, Industry, government (federal, provincial and municipal), utilities and energy innovators (At least three partnership agreements in place by end of project).
The assistance type is Non-Repayable Contribution. The total government funding is $161,920.00.
